We can cover the full range of devices available in the market today across 3 intensive days. The program includes ablative and non-ablative lasers (fractional, Q-switch, CO2 etc), Radiofrequency, Ultrasound, Shockwave, Electrical muscle stimulation, body and face contouring machines.

Focusing on the ‘Mechanism of Action’, we focus on the primary diagnosis and explain all the alternative treatments in terms of efficacy, patient downtime and market data on patient satisfaction.

We will study the before and after cases from an aesthetic, analytical and histological perspective.

The practical sessions cover a variety of treatment – skin resurfacing, skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, acne, acne scarring, freckles, pigmentation, varicose veins, cellulite, skin tightening, lymphatic drainage and body contouring.

The DHA lists all procedures under the DHA Non-Surgical Cosmetic Services guideline published online stating that GP’ Doctors (and GP Specialists) are eligible to provide specific treatments covered in the course.

It states that doctors must complete an accredited course in laser and devices at an accredited centre.

Yes, HIFU procedures are covered in the program.

As a GP Doctor, you are not required to take the Laser license, only an accredited course. If you are considering using a laser device to perform a Laser Hair Reduction treatment, then you must complete the pre-qualification course which is 5 days and will require an examination with the DHA.

There is no examination or privilege currently associated with this course at the time of writing (2024).

We will provide a certificate that has a DHA reference number and an accompanying log book.
