Practical Training

Get started with our 2 day combined botulinum toxin and dermal fillers training course. Our enhanced Level 7 package includes the lip filler masterclass and facial mastery certificate.

Academic Portfolio

As part of the Level 7 qualification, you will need to complete essays, case studies and critical appraisals. You will complete fully referenced assignments and submit a case study concerning the practice of aesthetic medicine.

Clinical Supervision

To complete your procedural logbook, you will need to observe 10 botulinum toxin and 10 dermal filler treatments (20 treatments) and administer 10 botulinum toxin and 10 dermal filler treatments (20 treatments) under supervision by our Level 7 trainers.

Registered healthcare professionals (as listed on our who we train page) from around the world are welcome to register for the course. If you are travelling from abroad, we will ask for evidence of your registration when you enrol on the course. Every country will have different rules and regulations regarding aesthetic medicine, so we advise checking these before booking your course.

Yes, you are covered under Derma Institute’s cosmetic indemnity insurance during the training course, and you can inject live patients under our supervision. You can take out your cosmetic indemnity insurance policy upon completing the course. We provide details of reputable insurers to all delegates.

Do I need to be a prescriber?

Botulinum toxins are prescription-only and must be prescribed for the patient before they can be administered. Non-prescribers can buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service. A non-prescribing healthcare professional who completes the required training can administer Botox and dermal fillers without a prescriber present for the procedure.

Do I need to bring my own cosmetic model with me?

We provide live cosmetic models for our Botox training courses. We arrange all models to ensure you get lots of hands-on practical experience with real-life patients. If you have a friend or family member interested in having treatments during the training day, please let our team know, and we can help them book in as a model.

Do you offer any post-course support?

After your Botox training course, you will be allocated a clinical mentor whom you can contact for advice. Our mentoring correspondence list will provide communication regarding new guidance, protocols, and aesthetic regulations. We also offer refresher, 121 and online training to further your skills and experience.
